멘탈리스트의 꿀잼 포인트는 오프닝씬인 것 같다.

초가 들어와서 아동실종신고가 들어왔다고 말한 후

차 안에서 실종사건에 대한 짧은 브리핑을 하는 상황.

"실종된 아이는 9살이고, 외동아들이야 (only child). 버스정류장으로 걸어가던 다른 아이가 Conner Flint 를 싣고 쌩하고 가는 차를 봤대. 운전하던 사람은 후드티를 입고 있었어."

외동이라는 표현..!

저는 형제가 없어요.. 외동이에요 라고 할 때 영어로 어떻게 하는지 생각이 안났다면...? Only child ! 기억해두시길..!

Collins Dictionary에 peel out이라는 표현이 없네...

When you peel fruit or vegetables, you remove their skins.

peel 이라는 단어는 과일이나 채소의 껍질을 벗길 때 쓰는 표현인데...

네이버에서 찾아보니 peel out 은 (승용차, 오토바이 등을 타고) 쌩하고 떠나다 라는 뜻이다.

흠 어쩌다 저런 뜻이 되었지...? 모르겠당.. 미국인들이 보기엔 차가 쌩하고 가는게 껍질 벗겨지는 느낌인가... 알수가 없따

운전대(핸들) 뒤에 있는 남자 > 운전자

hoodie 는 후드티!

description 뒤에 전치사 on 기억하기

3. custody
